Using the "Main R Codes.R" file, you should be able to reproduce all of the results we presented in the manuscript, including the three Lasso models (i.e. baseline, full and interaction), the evaluation of the three models using RMSE, and the computation of variable importance scores for the model predictors. You can also reproduce the plots we showed in the manuscript.

Note that in order to run the code file, you will need the data files from the "Data" folder, most of which are in rds. format.

Do note that most of these data files are not raw data files. Many are processed ones that are ready for use in the analysis, such as the Google Trends and the weather data.

If you would like to see the raw Google Trends data, please use the R code files in the "Google Trends Data Retrievel and Calibration" folder to download the raw data.

If you would like to see the raw KNMI weather data, please download it from http://projects.knmi.nl/klimatologie/daggegevens/selectie.cgi

The "GEZO16.rds" and "GEZO17.rds" data files, however, do contain the raw individual response data (i.e. whether one responds or not on a given day and to which survey data collection period the person belongs).
